Yallup is committed to providing a safe environment for all users and to protecting minors from exploitation and abuse. We take child safety seriously and have implemented policies and technical measures to help prevent the creation, distribution, or access to child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that exploits or endangers children.
2. Intended Audience and Age Requirements
Yallup is designed for users who are 13 years of age or older. Users under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian consent to use the app. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
3. Prohibited Content and Conduct
The following content and conduct are strictly prohibited on Yallup:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind
- Content that sexually exploits, endangers, or abuses minors
- Grooming, solicitation, or predatory behavior toward minors
- Sharing personal information of minors without parental consent
- Any content that facilitates the trafficking or exploitation of children
- Harassment, bullying, or harmful communication targeting minors
Any user found engaging in such conduct will be immediately banned and reported to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where required by law.
4. Content Moderation
Yallup employs the following measures to detect and prevent harmful content:
- User reporting: All users can report content or behavior that violates our policies directly within the app.
- Account verification: Users must verify their identity via a phone number OTP before accessing the platform, which helps reduce anonymous misuse.
- Review and enforcement: Reported content is reviewed by our team and acted upon promptly. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or legal reporting.
- Zero tolerance: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for CSAM. Any such content is immediately removed and reported to NCMEC and relevant law enforcement.
5. User-Generated Content
Yallup allows users to create trips, send messages, and share content within group contexts. All user-generated content is subject to our Terms of Service and this Child Safety Policy. Users are responsible for ensuring that any content they share complies with these policies.
We do not permit public posting of content visible to all users without authentication. Trip content and group chats are only accessible to members who have been explicitly invited.
6. Parental Controls and Guidance
We encourage parents and guardians to:
- Monitor and participate in their child's use of Yallup
- Review the trips and groups their child joins
- Use device-level parental controls to manage app access
- Teach children about safe online communication practices

8. Law Enforcement Cooperation

9. Policy Updates
We may update this Child Safety Standards policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of Yallup after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
